Reflections on Lianshan Kiln

This is an age of restlessness, where everything has become a commodity in constant flux – including the very producers themselves.

Culture has been eroded to near extinction, while material abundance and information overload reach unprecedented levels. Their collision drives our world into madness, leaving us utterly disoriented.

No era has ever brought such ceaseless excitement, with changes occurring at every moment – so rapid that they dazzle the senses.

We can hardly find peace, having almost forgotten our right to choose lifestyles. Accustomed to following the flow of information and capital, we have essentially become commodities ourselves.

Productivity gallops like a wild horse, its direction irrelevant – the galloping itself defines this age's essence.

Amidst this surging tide of progress, there are always those who pause—perhaps weary, or yearning for better prospects. Their doubts about purpose and direction spark contemplation on the collective madness.

These are our trailblazers. From a future perspective, they are established heroes; yet in the present moment, they face realities of rejection and misunderstanding.

What sustains this authentic torment is nothing but the spirit, that surging idealism within their hearts.

Suppose we could dwell in the endless mountains, completely isolated from the world; perhaps everything would be different—perhaps we could think more simply, perhaps delve deeper into simple questions.

Yet assumptions remain just that: assumptions. They are always the wings of idealism.

From birth, we face our own chess game. Assumptions seem perpetually distant, as if they can never become reality—a profound sting that pierces us.

Obviously, the key is how to create the hypothetical conditions, so we built the Lianshan kiln.

We wanted it to be an idealistic hypothesis, and we also assumed that it was an ideal.

The fire of idealism is burning brightly, burning in the Lianshan kiln at a temperature of 1320℃
